The "Castile" Sword is the first sword released from the new Signature Edition line from Valiant Armoury. A Signature Sword is a close representation of a Christian Fletcher original work of art built on a Gus Trim designed blade. Gus Trim is known throughout the Custom sword world as having some of the greatest skill and knowledge in sword metallurgy and craftsmanship. Christian Fletcher is a Master Cutler. He builds his works on blades from a few sources but uses Gus Trim blades exclusively for the original designs he creates for the "Signature Collection" swords. This classic Oakeshott Type X boasts a hand forged 1060 high carbon spring steel blade with a Type J pommel. The blade length is 31 13/16" with an overall of 38 5/8". Center of gravity is approx. 5" from the Type 5 guard. The Castile Signature Edition sword comes complete with brown leather embossed scabbard and intricate black leather belt. Sword, Scabbard & Belt Weight 4 lbs 5 oz. Sword Weight 3 lbs. 2 oz. As these are hand forged pieces, specs can vary slightly with each piece.
